Dental Implants Offer Unparalleled Support and Stability

A Natural Fit and Feel

During implant placement, Dr. Feldstein embeds the implants, which are small titanium posts, into the jawbone. Once in place, implants act as artificial tooth roots, meaning your restoration will look and feel like a natural tooth.

A Better Functioning Result

Implants offer unrivaled support for restorations and allow you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. Denture-wearers no longer have to worry about restorations that slip and slide while they go about their normal lives.

A Healthier Smile

Implant-supported restorations mimic the qualities of natural teeth. Implants can keep your teeth from shifting and prevent tissue loss in the jaw for better overall oral health.

When are dental implants recommended?

Dental Implants Can Replace...

But how do I know if implants are right for me?

The Best Way to Determine Your Candidacy Is to Schedule an Appointment

During your consultation at our office, we can take x-rays and scans of your jaw to assess your candidacy for implants. Dr. Feldstein can also sit down with you to discuss your medical history, as well as your preferences and budget for treatment.

While there are a variety of concerns which can affect your treatment, we can address many of candidacy issues at our office. Common candidacy concerns include:

Jawbone Density

Dental implants rely on surrounding tissue for support, so you need sufficient bone in your jaw to receive implants. Dr. Feldstein provides bone grafts, sinus lifts, and a variety of other bone enhancement procedures at our Flushing practice to restore your implant candidacy.

Unhealthy Gums

In addition to a strong jawbone, you need healthy gums for successful implants. Dr. Feldstein is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, meaning he provides comprehensive treatment to improve your gum health.

Uncontrolled Diabetes

Diabetes and other medical issues can interfere with your body’s ability to heal after surgery. Be sure to discuss your full medical history with Dr. Feldstein so he can identify any potential issues and adjust your treatment plan.

Lifestyle Issues

Smoking limits your body’s natural healing ability and can increase the risk of implant failure

How long will it take to restore my smile?

Treatment Takes a Few Months But We Perform Every Procedure You Need

Let’s dive into the process...

Our dentist and friendly staff will guide you through your recovery...

What to Expect During Your Recovery

Immediately after your surgery, you should plan to take it easy. Although you can return to work in the days afterward, you should avoid strenuous exercise and activities until cleared by our dentist.

To assist with your recovery, you should:

  • Stick to a soft food diet
  • Be careful when brushing around the implant site
  • Avoid smoking
  • Take antibiotics as prescribed

If you experience swelling or bruising, apply an icepack to the outside of your cheek.

Your gums should continue to heal over the next few weeks and your implants will gradually fuse with the surrounding jawbone. After a few months, you will come back to our dental practice so that our Flushing practice can complete the final steps.

So when all that is done, what do they look like?

Maintaining Your Results

You can keep your implant-supported restoration in good shape the same way you keep natural teeth healthy: with regular oral hygiene. Daily brushing and flossing remove food particles and bacteria that can lead to gum disease. With biannual visits to the dentist, they can provide a professional cleaning and check the integrity of your implants.

Ok, but can I afford dental implants?

Top Tier Care at Affordable Prices

Dr. Feldstein has over 30 years of experience with dental implants. In a straightforward case, he can perform a complete implant treatment, including placement and restoration, for $2,500. However, there are a variety of factors which can affect your final treatment cost.

Number of Implants

At Jewel Dental Associates, a single implant typically costs $900, not including the restoration. However, if you need to replace multiple teeth, you will likely need more than one implant, increasing your overall cost.

Type of Restoration

While Dr. Feldstein can replace a single missing tooth with a dental crown, more extensive tooth loss will require a larger restoration. Crowns typically cost at least $800 at our practice. The overall cost of your treatment will also depend on the material used to craft your restoration.

Preliminary Procedures

Patients with gum disease, tissue loss, or other issues may need preparatory procedures to ensure the success of their dental implants. We provide all stages of care at our office, saving you the cost and hassle of referrals. However, these treatments will add to your final price.

Sedation

For patients nervous about their treatment, we offer nitrous oxide to help you relax during the procedure. In general, sedation is an additional cost.

Insurance Coverage

Each insurance provider has different rules about what they will and will not cover. You may receive partial insurance coverage, which can assist with out-of-pocket costs.

That seems like a lot of work. Are implants really worth it?

An Enjoyable Experience

"I have had an enjoyable experience!  Yes, that sounds crazy.  I am, a little.  But, really.  Dr. F puts you at ease before, during, and after the procedure.  Whether it is a filling or it is a implant, I have felt comfortable (as possible as one case be) when I'm in the hot seat... His staff is warm and welcoming, and I have always been taken in on time for my appointments."

An Investment in Your Health & Well-Being

Financing options are available at our Flushing practice...

Financing Your Treatment Makes Amazing Results Affordable

Swiping credit card through machine

Many patients do not think that they can afford dental implants because insurance typically does not cover the procedure. However, there are options to make your up-front costs a fit for your budget. At our practice, you can use credit cards to pay for treatment. Additionally, we accept financing through CareCredit®, which allows you to repay in monthly installments over the course of several years. Dr. Feldstein highly recommends dental implants for all patients who qualify. During your consultation, our team can help you find a way to budget for dental implants.
