Our Crowns Are Crafted from Advanced Materials to Restore the Health of Your Smile

Strength and Function

A dental crown from Dr. Michael Feldstein can restore strength to a damaged tooth and allow you to eat, speak, and smile properly.

Natural-Looking Results

At Jewel Dental Associates, we craft our crowns from either dental ceramic or zirconia. Both these materials mimic the qualities of natural teeth. Dr. Feldstein can carefully design and place your crown so it blends seamlessly into your smile.

Versatility

We can use a dental crown to treat a wide range of conditions, from concealing cosmetic flaws to replacing a lost tooth with a dental implant. Crowns are also used after a root canal or trauma to protect and support a damaged tooth.

Why Choose Jewel Dental Associates?

Dr. Michael Feldstein

Dr. Feldstein uses advanced materials to create crowns which look natural and provide exceptional strength. The majority of our crowns are all-ceramic, zirconia, or zirconia with porcelain layering. However, we can also provide metal crowns for patients who need extra strength.

How do I know if a crown can help me?

Crowns Can Address a Range of Issues

Weak Teeth

If a tooth has severe decay, a large crack, or other trauma, a crown can protect the surface and provide support to help avoid an extraction.

Broken or Worn Teeth

For a tooth that has already broken or has been worn down due to grinding or clenching, a crown can restore the proper structure and appearance of the tooth.

Teeth that Have Had Fillings or Root Canals

After a root canal or a large filling, a crown can cover and support what is left of your tooth to keep it healthy.

Severe Cosmetic Flaws

In some cases, Dr. Feldstein may recommend a crown instead of a veneer or other cosmetic treatment to conceal cosmetic flaws, such as discoloration.

Missing Teeth

If you are missing a single tooth, a crown can restore a dental implant to fill the gap in your smile. Crowns are also used to support traditional dental bridges.

So what should I expect during treatment?

Restore Your Smile in Two Easy Appointments

Dr. Feldstein will examine your smile and determine whether a dental crown is the right treatment for you. He can also discuss the different materials we offer with you at that time.

We will remove the damaged or decayed section of your tooth to restore proper health.

Dr. Feldstein will reshape your tooth to ensure the crown fits comfortably into your smile without appearing too large or bulky.

We will make an impression and send the information to the lab.

Since it typically takes about two weeks for the lab to fabricate a custom crown, Dr. Feldstein will place a temporary restoration over your prepared tooth.

At your second appointment, Dr. Feldstein will remove your temporary crown and check the fit and appearance of your permanent restoration. He can make minor adjustments to ensure you are satisfied with the result.

Dr. Feldstein will bond your crown into place for a fully restored smile

Teeth before crowns are placed

Before

Decay and age can undermine the function and appearance of your smile.

After

Our dental crowns mimic the translucency of enamel so that your smile looks healthy and natural.

Alright, that looks good. But how much will it cost?

Treatment Costs Will Vary

At Jewel Dental Associates, our normal fee for a dental crown is $1,200. However, some patients may only pay $800. There are several factors which can affect the cost of your restoration.

Materials Used

Dr. Feldstein typically uses either dental ceramic or zirconia to create beautiful, lifelike crowns. While metal crowns tend to cost less, they do not offer the same aesthetic results. We can discuss your options with you to help you make an informed decision.

Level of Damage to Your Smile

If the decay or damage to your smile is extensive, you may need other preparatory procedures to improve your oral health before we place your crown. These treatments can increase your overall cost.

Location of the Crown

Crowns in the front of your smile are typically easier to place. If you need a crown on a molar, your treatment may cost more.

Whether You Need an Implant

For a single missing tooth, an implant-supported crown offers incredible benefits. However, implant placement will add to your treatment cost.

Do I really need a crown?

Crowns Are a Common and Effective Dental Treatment

*According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention

Treating decay or damage promptly is crucial to protecting your smile against more extensive and costly issues. A crown can save your tooth.
